The Chimay Blue Cap, baptized “Grande Reserve” in 750ml bottles, is a dark Trappist beer with a powerful aroma whose complex flavor improves with age. It was first brewed as a Christmas beer by the monks of Scourmont Abbey in 1956.This authentic Belgian beer is particularly pleasant, with its hint of fresh yeast accompanied by a slightly rosy, floral touch. The aroma, perceived as it is enjoyed, only accentuates the delightful sensations revealed by the scent, all unveiling a subtle but pleasant caramelized note.It is preferably served at cellar temperature (10 to 12C).
