Ripening Cabernet in Gippsland can be difficult. Medium body, brick red colour. Aroma of blackcurrant and spice followed by leafy / tea-leaf notes with a hint of liquorice in the background. On the palate the tea leaf flavours persist with blackcurrant and liquorice in the background. Fine grained tannins which are very persistent and last well into the aftertaste with tea leaf re-emerging.
